Hi Ken
Yes I have finished one piece using it. I am impressed
how it works.
It is good and solid, does not move while you are working on the
piece.
I like the way it swivels so easily. I have a week long class this week so time is a bit
short. Next week I have do another piece to send to USA so I will
take a couple of photos for you.
The carving clamp looks great. I will be over at the NZ symposium in September
and was wondering if you would be happy to let me use one of them in my
demonstrations.
I will be demonstrating making a Nautilus bowl:
twice where I need
to clamp the foot of the bowl and chuck for power carving. I usually use a
carving pole that has been made in Australia but not commercially
available as yet. This will save me having to bring one with me and also help
with you promotion. I guess Robbie will also be demonstrating it as
well.
When I demonstrate in USA I am always asked where they
can get the clamp that I use and are disappointed when I tell them that it is
not available. Maybe now they have the option of buying
yours.
Please let me know if this is
possible.
